Layal Obeid

Solicitor

Layal Obeid completed a Bachelor of Legal and Dispute Studies with Distinction at RMIT before going on to complete her Juris Doctor (also at RMIT). She also holds a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from The College of Law. She was admitted to practice law in the Supreme Court of Victoria in September 2021 and was further admitted to the High Court of Australia in February 2022.

Layal practices primarily in criminal, traffic, and civil law matters and appears regularly in the Magistrates’ Court of Victoria in regional and metropolitan areas. Layal believes in a client-centric approach, prioritising excellent service and achieving favourable outcomes.


Outside of work, Layal indulges the ‘foodie’ in her at local restaurants and enjoys activities that promote a healthy lifestyle including camping, bike riding and swimming. Layal is also a member of Women in Crime.
