Brendan O’Keefe
Brendan is an experienced Generalist Solicitor with over 15 years expertise offering comprehensive legal services to his clients across each of the Commercial Law, Corporate Law, Property Law and Wills & Estates areas of legal practice.
Brendan always strives to provide tailored, pragmatic and commercially sensible advice to his clients. He values the importance of both clear and prompt communication with his clients at all times and being readily available for them when acting on their behalf across a wide range of legal matters. He firmly believes in fostering the development of strong and ongoing relationships with his clients to enable him to continue to provide a range of legal services to them, as and when required.
One of Brendan’s key strengths is his ability to maintain the carriage of matters for his clients that require knowledge and practical experience in multiple areas of law. This enables Brendan to provide his clients a wide range of legal services, including:
- complex estate planning (Wills and Powers of Attorney) and deceased estate administration, including acting in matters involving family provision claims in deceased estates;
- commercial law related transactions including the sale and purchase of a range of businesses, drafting and advising on shareholder agreements, loan documents with security documentation, commercial and retail leasing documentation and in matters involving general employment law; and
- property law related transactions including complex applications for stamp duty exemptions, concessions and refunds and drafting and advising on a wide range of contracts and agreements for land dealings including sales, purchases, developments, joint ventures and the transfer of interests in land generally.
Brendan holds both a Bachelor of Laws degree and a Bachelor of Science degree from Monash University. He was admitted to practise law in the Supreme Court of Victoria and in the High Court of Australia in 2009.
Outside of the law, Brendan enjoys AFL football (and is an avid supporter of the Collingwood Football Club), as well as recreational golf and cycling. He is also passionate about travel and exploring cultural diversity through food and wine.
