Tara Lopes

Tara is a criminal lawyer admitted to the legal profession in 2020. She holds a Bachelor of Criminology and Criminal Justice and a Bachelor of Laws, and is admitted to practise in the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the High Court of Australia.

Tara has practised criminal and traffic law in both Sydney and Western New South Wales, representing clients across a range of summary and indictable matters. She is known for her thorough preparation and relentless advocacy in the courtroom, ensuring that every client’s case is presented clearly, strategically, and with determination. She is strongly motivated by principles of social justice and human rights, and is committed to ensuring that clients understand their rights and options throughout the legal process.

Before entering the legal profession, Tara gained extensive professional experience that continues to inform her approach to legal practice. This background enables her to analyse complex matters and communicate legal options to clients in a clear, practical and comprehensive way.
