A male client instructed EAS Legal after being taken into custody and requiring an urgent bail application before the Local Court.
The application was opposed by the prosecution, with concerns raised about the alleged offending and the risks said to arise if our client was released.
We carefully prepared the application, developed a proposed bail arrangement directed specifically at the concerns raised and made detailed submissions explaining why those risks could be appropriately managed in the community.
Despite prosecution opposition, the Court was persuaded to grant bail, allowing our client to be released from custody while his criminal proceedings continued.
A significant result achieved through careful preparation, a practical bail proposal and focused courtroom advocacy.
