A 33-year-old male sought assistance from EAS Legal after a Family Violence Intervention Order application was issued following the breakdown of a relationship. While strongly disputing the allegations, our client wanted to avoid the uncertainty, legal costs and emotional strain of a contested hearing.
After carefully negotiating with Victoria Police and the affected family member’s legal representatives, we secured an agreement that addressed the parties’ concerns while protecting our client’s legal position.
Outcome: The matter was resolved by Consent Without Admissions, meaning a final Intervention Order was made without any admissions or findings of family violence, avoiding a contested hearing and allowing our client to move forward with certainty.
