A 67-year-old male engaged EAS Legal after being charged with breaching an Intervention Order.
Following a detailed review of the circumstances, we successfully negotiated a significant reduction in the allegations ultimately put before the Court. At the plea hearing, we made strong submissions focusing on the reduced seriousness of the offending, our client’s personal circumstances and the appropriate sentencing outcome.
The charge was dealt with by way of a non-conviction dismissal, allowing our client to finalise the matter without a conviction being recorded against him.
