A 55-year-old male instructed EAS Legal after being charged with multiple assault offences arising from an alleged incident.
Rather than simply accepting the prosecution case at face value, we carefully examined how the evidence had been obtained and compiled. Our review identified important procedural deficiencies in the prosecution’s preparation of its evidence, which were raised directly with the prosecution.
Following our challenge to the prosecution case, all assault charges were withdrawn, bringing the criminal proceedings against our client to an end.
